Thus have I heard:

Once the Exalted One was dwelling near Sāvatthī.

There the Exalted One addressed the monks, saying:

"Monks."

"Yes, lord," they replied,
and the Exalted One said:

"Monks, of indulgence in three things there can be no satiety.

What three? [240]

Sleep,
drinking of fermented liquor
and getting sexual intercourse.

Of the indulgence in these three things, monks, there can be no satiety."
